What will you do?
Comply with the guidelines and regulations of Environmental, Health, Safety and Security.


How will you do it?

  • Support on ensure the compliance of the CTPAT, OEA, JCMS, ISO 14001, 45001, FM Global and others.
  • Participate in risk management, which includes the identification of failure modes, hazards and environmental aspects, their respective assessment and the definition and implementation of controls.
  • Perform investigation incidents and nonconformity to determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage the waste disposition process, ensuring compliance with the applicable regulations.
  • Support in external compliance audits Perform incidents investigations with area responsible.
  • Develop and support in the Job Safety Analysis for every routine and nonroutine activities in both sites
  • Verify unsafe conditions and unsafe actions in production areas.
  • Perform Safe Track observations and follow up on assigned activities from it.
  • Support on ensure the government requirements reports and records in a timely manner.
  • Schedule and maintain the annual compliance studies on time: wastewater, air emissions, industrial hygiene: noise, chemical substances, lighting, etc.
  • Participate in the EHS committee's activities in both sites.
  • Ensure EHS required training such as: forklift driving, platform, back safety, etc.
  • Ensure safety orientation to contractors and new hired employees
  • Conduct monthly 5's audits to assigned areas.
  • Ensure compliance and supervise everyday activities from the EHS technician.
  • Hot work authorization and training Provide required support to EHS Manager as needed.
  • Participate in the EHS reviews for the corporate.
  • Ensure de execution of the Safety Program training and the EHS Management System Establish and maintain actions to improve the material management in site using the ergonomic standard.
  • Active participation in plant programs such as SafeTrack observations, suggestion box, Employee Idea System and LPA audits.
  • Identify and intervene to correct unsafe and off standard conditions, when immediate correction is not possible report to direct manager or to the corresponding department.
  • Perform every activity considering the requirements of the EHS Management System to contribute to the achievement of its objectives and to fulfill the Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
  • Attend trainings to learn about Lean & Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies as required by function and/or position.
  • Records and analyzes EHS data and prepare reports or graphs to identify performance trends, communicating results to operational leadership to implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide support to implement Environmental, Health and Safety Policy.
  • Be part of the safety committee, the environmental committee and participate as emergency response team leader.
  • Reviews and approves Operations Description Sheets (ODS), Rework instructions, change assessments and safe workplans.
  • Provide, organizes, schedules, and conducts inspections of facilities, work areas and equipment to monitors site conditions, practices, and procedures for compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate in the maintenance of any EHS equipment.
  • Participates as a guide of the High-Performance Teams

What we look for?

  • Education: Environmental & Safety engineering or similar degree.
  • Experience: 35 years of experience as EHS Technician or similar position.
  • Knowledge: Risk management, Mexican laws and regulations (Federal, State and Local) in Environmental & Occupational, Health and Safety matters, waste management and reduction techniques, ISO , CTPAT, OEA, Management of Change, job safety analysis, problem solving and incident investigation methods, environmental management systems, occupational health, and safety management systems, MS Office.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), teamwork, selfmanagement, leadership thinking skills (problem solving and decision making), proactivity, planning and organizing

Language:
80 % Bilingual.
