SENIOR PRIMARY SUBSTATION ENGINEER

Your Profile

University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
10 or moreyear experience with a focus on primary electrical design for high voltage substations
Fluent English Language;
_Must submit Resume in English

Knowledge on ANSI standards, IEC standards knowledge is a plus
Experience with equipment typically used in substation
Familiar with Auto-CAD or Micro-Station
Professional Engineering license preferred
Good communication skills, teamwork and selfdriven

Your Responsibilities

Develop project design criteria for substations/switchyards (development of main one line and station auxiliary oneline diagrams, general arrangement, layout and elevation drawings, trench and conduit design and grounding drawings)
Supporting 3D Design for Proposals and conceptual designs for pricing purposes. Perform electrical engineering design and calculations
Perform cable ampacity, grounding, lightning, illumination and station auxiliary load calculations.
Create equipment specifications and detail bill of materials
Develop Conceptual Layouts for HVDC and SVC
Support Marketing and Project teams in the execution of a project and in customer meetings, ennsures that the engineering deliverables meet the target schedule dates, inform the Project Manager of possible delays or risk in the particular project
Supporting camera and Gas density Monitor design
Review manufacturer's documentation, develop engineering execution plans in support of a particular project schedule, identify, notify and provide solutions on potential problems that may adversely impact safety, reliability, cost and schedule on a project.
Perform special assignments and provide technical advice in the area of expertise
Responsibility to comply and / or enforce the protocols, policies, and guidelines of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality)
