Your role at Baxter:


The person in this role will evaluate health economic trends (efficiencies, effectiveness, value, behavior) in the environment and leverage insights from market research, desk research, and provider-payer-policy maker interactions to contribute to the development of Value Propositions and implementation of market access programs.


Responsible to lead the health economics evidence generation with the ultimate objective to ensure patients have access to Baxter's products and services, and in turn those are fairly priced and reimbursed.


To generate the access strategy and Responsible to lead Cuadro Básico inclusion for Baxter products at Consejo de Salubridad General.


To generate and lead the Access strategy for private market, insurances and Hospitals in order to understand and accelerate the access and reimbursement to Baxter Therapies.

Lead and create institutional access strategies, to leverage and gain opportunities and strategies aligned with commercial team to accelerate access in key institutions (PEMEX, SEDENA, SEMAR, National Institutes, IMSS, ISSSTE, etc)

Creation and lead Public Policiy strategies to support the access and reimbursement of key projects.

Relationship with key stakeholders, cameras, associations, Legislative, embassy, HTA key players, etc. to support Baxter results and strategies.

What you'll be doing

  • Leads projects to develop health outcomes and economic evidence for medical devices in key Renal and Hospital Products franchises, including data analytics, study design and modeling. Publishes data on positive benefits of therapies
  • Works with internal and external experts to identify and understand unmet payer needs and HTA's trends
  • Leads the development of countrylevel reimbursement dossiers to gain coverage, coding & reimbursement
  • Collaborates with other teams as appropriate to develop health economic models and tools to support costeffectiveness and budget impact analyses
  • Provides health economics expertise and guidance to internal teams or vendors in specific programs, in coordination with Regional Market Access and GAPP
  • Support and training to commercial teams in order maximize access culture wit KAM and KAEs
  • Formulates Market Access strategies based on insights into unmet needs, valuebased solutions.
  • Leads value messaging generation per stakeholder group to drive patient access, therapy adoption and reimbursement.
  • Customize or develop market access tool kits for country use and train country teams on appropriate use of these materials

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree required fields (Economy, Math, Actuary, strong numeric analysis) with 5 or more years of health economics experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Must have at least 5+ years' experience working in a Market Access, Government affairs and HEOR related position within a Country and/or Regional role.
  • Sound knowledge of health care system and reimbursement requirements and the potential long term impact to Baxter in Mexico is required.
