    The Lithium Ion Cell/Module Validation Engineer is responsible for maintaining and documenting DVP&R and PVP&R for suppliers' advanced automotive battery cells/modules for Stellantis' hybrid and electric vehicle applications.

    Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Lead Validation Specialist to maintain validation requirement document
  • Supporting execution teams (DREs) and direct communication with supplier's validation/testing teams
  • Supporting pack and vehicle validation process
  • Supporting critical design review process for lithium ion cells/modules
  • Supporting cross functional team to capture the learnings into Stellantis best practice
  • Being a member of cross functional team supporting battery pack manufacturing, release engineering, supplier quality engineering
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in lithium-ion battery testing and validation; including cells, modules, and low/high battery packs
  • Familiar with automotive validation requirement
  • Good understanding of energy storage systems and vehicle electrification
  • Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
  • Highly Motivated and Self Starter
  • Demonstrated Ability to Work in a Team Environment
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or Equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with battery supply base
  • Experience with PPAP and SPC process
  • Excellent quality, manufacturing and product assurance planning skills
  • Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Working understanding of PFMEA, DFMEA
  • Good communication, problem solving, computer and presentation skills
