Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here's how the Sales Excellence and Commercial Capability Development Mexico Lead role will make an impact:

  • Lead market Sales Excellence organization and manage the performance of the team
  • Collaborate with Global and regional Sales excellence teams to integrate and deploy policies, processes, systems and tools needed to support flawless execution of market operations
  • Responsible for evaluating the financial and strategic priorities for commercial teams in the market and developing an integrated plan to support these priorities to include strategy, resources and budgeting
  • Accountability and joint responsibility with market BU leadership for scope, direction, priorities of market Field Force Effectiveness strategy including plan setting, incentive calculation, omnichannel sales excellence operations, and CRM support-
  • This role will be responsible for supporting the sales force effectiveness strategy development, objective and approach in Regional perspective, including sales target allocation, incentive scheme design, CRM and communication.
  • Ensure effective execution of the Sales Excellence and Commercial Capability Development and local market processes, and integration of technology platforms across Sales Excellence scope into key markets. Continuously evolve service delivery model as required.
  • Ensure smooth local operations in the region for Sales Excellence and Commercial Capability related tasks, mainly CRM Deployment and Operations, IC Design Execution, Sales Force Effectiveness Tasks, Sales Force Optimization Tasks, In-Market Sales and Performance Reporting, Omni-channel Sales Force Operations, Sales Force Training.
  • Plan and execute with Global CoEs and IT a well-planned integration strategy for all platforms
  • Execute across a complex multi-layer organizational matrix and rapidly changing external environment.
  • Accountable for leading the implementation of strategic initiatives that leverage country resources, processes, and technology platforms to enhance value to Sales Excellence clients while maintaining/reducing cost.
  • Ensure sustainable collaborative working relationships across Sales Excellence and key enabling functions such as IT, HR, Compliance, Procurement, Finance and foster effective external relationships and influence strategic direction as needed.
  • Effectively facilitate with Global Centers of Excellence: Sales Force Training, Sales Force Effectiveness, Incentive Design & Execution, Omni-channel Sales Force Operations and CRM Deployment.
  • Accountable for design and budget models and funding requests for Sales Excellence Budget.
  • Partner with in Market Leadership Team on innovative ways to discuss, review, align and finalize budget levels, client needs/priorities.
  • Embedded within Businesses Leaders and serves as single point of contact to senior commercial leaders and cross-functional leaders.
  • Understand Viatris strategies, business goals, commercial support needs and objectives and how they fit into the Upjohn model. Understand long-range client strategy and ensure Sales Excellence model is flexible and scalable to meet future business needs.
  • Understand the market business strategy/needs and context, and be accountable to lead, own, develop and maintain local market processes to enhance value to clients while maintaining or reducing overall costs.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Management, or related field
  • Proficiency in the English and Spanish
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 5 years Leadership of a similar function for a global healthcare / pharmaceutical corporation
  • Diverse functional knowledge and exposure in different Pharma functions.
  • Proven track record in setting, driving and exceeding business targets
  • Influence leadership and cross-functional teamwork experience
  • Demonstrated business acumen; Demonstrated insight and understanding of health care space, trends, issues combined with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans
  • Deep understanding of Sales Excellence services (SFE, IC, Training etc)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to find key implications from comprehensive data
  • Strong strategic thinking to ensure innovation and leadership
