BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

Typically has 5+ years people management or technical lead experience: building and managing high performance platform and/or infrastructure engineering teams, experience across hardware, firmware, and embedded software development across full product life cycles.
Strong knowledge of operation, Java, and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Experience with product definition, metrics and customerfacing experience. Experience managing crossfunctional organizations.
Knowledge of datacenter infrastructure constraints including networking, power, space, and cooling and Virtualization technology.
Excellent written communication and verbal skills.
Handson experience with Agile development methodologies.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsible for the operation of production environments, including systems and databases, supporting critical business operations.

Will perform administration and analysis for multiple production environments and recommend new and novel solutions to improve availability, performance, and supportability.

This is an opportunity to bring a combination of technical knowledge and People Management with administration/analysis knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide escalation support to a wide range of complex production environment problems related to immense growth, scaling, leveraging the cloud, extremely high performance, and high availability requirements.
