    **Job Title:** Human Resources Support Staff

    Summary:

    The Human Resources Support Staff member works with the Human Resources team to carry out daily HR activities, including recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. This role focuses on delivering HR services that meet or exceed employee needs, enabling business success, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures.

    Candidate Profile:

    We are seeking a qualified candidate with a high school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major is required, along with 1 year of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related field.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Recruitment and Hiring Process:

    - Assist in interviewing and hiring HR team members with the necessary skills.

    - Establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources.

    - Attend job fairs and document outreach efforts according to Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.

    Employee Benefits Administration:

    - Work with the unemployment services provider to respond to unemployment claims; review reports for accuracy and correct errors.

    - Prepare, audit, and distribute unemployment claim activity reports to property management.

    - Attend unemployment hearings and ensure property representation.

    - Ensure departmental resources are available to administer employee benefits.

    Employee Development:

    - Support a departmental orientation program for employees to receive new hire training and successfully perform their jobs.

    - Ensure employees are cross-trained to support daily operations.

    - Utilize on-the-job training tools for employees; supervise ongoing training initiatives and conduct training when necessary.

    - Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation programs to generate a positive first impression and emphasize guest service in company culture.

    Maintaining Employee Relations:

    - Assist in maintaining effective employee communication channels in the property (e.g., develop daily communications and assist with regularly scheduled property-wide meetings).

    - Review progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency; check for supportive documentation and determine appropriate action.
