    This Senior Advanced Hardware Engineer role is responsible for driving andsupporting project that focuses on cost reduction of existing mass volumeproducts across all Honeywell HBT BMS portfolio through strong Hardware Designexpertise to ensure all the proposal are accurately evaluated and implementedin collaboration with Global Engineering team.

    As example of the products canbe mentioned like building controllers, control panels, Valves and actuators,Peripherals etc.

    This role is also responsible to identify product cost savingsopportunities through vendor change of used electronic & mechanical componentsas well through electronic circuit design & mechanical system designchanges.

    Lead projects that implement these changes, collaborate with thedesign teams and ISC (integrated supply chain), prepare test plan, perform orcoordinate tests of the component and final product in the laboratory, preparetest report – all that to make sure the product after cost reduction changeworks as per specification and with unchanged quality.

    Implement the change inthe mass production factory with the ability to multitask between engineeringand non-engineering activities.

    Good communication and negotiation skills arerequired daily basis in connection with enablers involved in these projects –Design teams, ISC, Manufacturing site, Suppliers.

    Key Responsibilities


    • Ability to work in any of the VE CElife cycle as in Ideation, Evaluation, Execution & Implementation stages ofthe ideas & projects.
    • Responsible and accountable for allValue & Component engineering projects and their implementation through collaborativeeffort with Engineering teams.
    • Review the current electronic boarddesign considering the current technologies in terms of component, materials& process, propose ideations to reduce BoM cost by redesign &optimization.
    • Ability to redesign the electroniccircuits to reduce the product cost. Should be able to drive and participate inCost reduction Idea generation for existing products & perform or supportfeasibility review of new ideas assigned.
    • Essential deep knowledge of analog(opamps, BJT, MOSFET etc...) & digital design (Micro controller's ADC, DAC,memory devices etc.), knowledge of electronic circuits, power supplies,connectors and subsystems, experience with conditional qualification testing.
    • Study and understand PCB Schematicsand Layout Design documents with respect to new component proposals. Experiencein Hardware Component Selection process, Application specifications and abilityto identify CTQs.
    • Mitigate all technical roadblocksand drive implementation of proposed ideations. Ability to predict and quantifydesign risk in terms existing and new components / proposals.
    • Total cost model preparation andapproval – collecting project data such as cost of engineering services,capital investment, other services, projects length, etc. and define the Returnon Investment.
    • Test Plan preparation, Component andProduct level Qualification – Prepare the specific Test plan, Support, Performthe required testing in the laboratory for the projects to make sure the ideas/ alternative component will satisfy all requirements and final productperformance meets the specification.
    • Experience in Value & Componentengineering, Design to Cost & Should Costing methodologies.
    • Good understanding of ComponentChange Management Process and PLM tools. Experience in SAP, PDM, Team Centerand Agile tool will be added advantage.
    • Write a project final report/project team presentation to the team or management.
    • Exposure to full design life cyclein New product development, Prefer knowledge/skills in project management.
    • Experience working in aninternational team with multiple stakeholders, Ability to Multitask, able toefficiently prioritize work and timely inform stakeholders on the progress

    Experience in one or more of the belowproducts:
    Valvesand ActuatorsControllersThermostats YOU MUST

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical/ Electronic Engineering
    • 8 to 10 yearsof professional experience in Hardware Design, strong fundamental knowledge inelectrical, analog, digital and power electronics engineering and Value &Component Engineering methodologies.
    • Hands-onexperience in redesigning of small to medium hardware (Analog, Digital, PowerSupplies, etc.) centric projects
    • Essentialdeep knowledge of electronic components, their parameters and characteristics,knowledge of electronic circuits and subsystems, experience with conditionalqualification testing
    • Verygood written and spoken English, very good communication and negotiationskills, work in the international team, ability of multitasking.

    WE VALUE
    Master's degree in engineering is an added advantage.
