    Job Summary

    As a member of the property Human Resources support staff, the successful candidate will work with Human Resources employees to carry out the daily activities of the Human Resource Office. These activities include oversight of recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. The candidate will also focus on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success, while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and operating procedures.

    Candidate Profile

    The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, along with 3 years of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related major, plus 1 year of experience in human resources, management operations, or a related professional area, may be considered.

    Core Work Activities

    Managing Recruitment and Hiring Process

    The successful candidate will assist in the interviewing and hiring of Human Resource employee team members, as needed. They will also establish and maintain contact with external recruitment sources, attend job fairs, and ensure documentation of outreach efforts in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.

    Administering and Educating Employee Benefits

    The candidate will work with the unemployment services provider to respond to unemployment claims, review provider reports for accuracy, and correct errors. They will also prepare, audit, and distribute unemployment claim activity reports to property management, attend unemployment hearings, and ensure property representation. Additionally, they will ensure that departmental resources are available to administer employee benefits.

    Managing Employee Development

    The successful candidate will support a departmental orientation program for employees to receive new hire training. They will also ensure employees are cross-trained to support daily operations, use on-the-job training tools, supervise ongoing training initiatives, and conduct training when appropriate. Furthermore, they will coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation programs to generate a positive first impression for employees and emphasize the importance of guest service in company culture.

    Maintaining Employee Relations

    The candidate will assist in maintaining effective employee communication channels, develop daily communications, and assist with regularly scheduled property-wide meetings. They will review progressive discipline documentation for accuracy and consistency, check for supportive documentation, and determine appropriate action. Additionally, they will utilize an
