Perform and Lead sustaining activities, design engineering, procedures, department improvements and problem-solving activities on new and existing products of the assigned product platforms.

Leads design engineering projects as an integral part of the development and manufacturing teams for NPD and on-going engineering support to address customer satisfaction, improve manufacturing costs, reliability and RTY with emphasis on mechanical product.

Responsible for evaluating existing product related to design, manufacturing, customer complaints, quality deficiencies and performance issues and develop creative solutions.
Responsible to improve current designs by reducing cost, improving producibility, quality, testability, increasing robustness and improving reliability.
Lead and participate in new product development and Product transfers activities, such as testing, documentation, releases to Manufacturing and in the introduction of new processes and technologies.
Lead Product Engineering Changes, qualifying and implementing changes, and closing with the Product Change Review Board notification and approval.
Generate product portfolio and identify opportunities for cost reduction and manufacturing standardization and engage Quality and Process Engineering to implement.
Applies statistical methods for data collection, analysis and problem solving.
Participate in innovation forums, summits, projects & provide sustainable proposals from existing products & technologies, as well as trendy apps.
Coordinate assessments over materials properties and behavior for manufacturing processes.
Lead design engineering projects of the platforms assigned.
Participate in the development of procedures and tool improvements for engineering department.
