IT Head for Operations LAM and Méx.**
Role Purpose. Global Operations & Automation IT (GO&A) Americas Change Lead aims to drive strategic change in the Region aligned to Bankwide Operations Transformation but also drive supplier change to other technology teams requiring GO&A technology. In addition the role will act as a Relationship Manager to Global Service Centre (GSC) Mexico, to drive efficiency and streamline processes through close partnership with operational teams, and Risk Operations Head of IT responsible for shaping, delivering & driving the Risk Operations change agenda.

  • Deliver technology solutions on behalf of Mexico Operations to support benefits realisation in 202
  • Significant leadership and people accountability including management of Americas GO&A Team comprising analysts, developers and engineers.
  • Act as a Relationship Manager to GSC Mexico to
  • Drive efficiency and streamline processes through Tech-GSC collaboration
  • Ensure a holistic view of related initiatives
  • Mitigate risks associated with Technologies
  • Deliver technology solutions on behalf of Risk Operations to support significant benefits relaisation in 202
  • Key engagements with CIO / CTOs across DBS, Operations and GBL IT Functions inclusive of Compliance IT
  • Issues & Risk Management to ensure that delivery continues in line with agreed plans & budget
  • Strategic alignment of all initiatives & technology innovation through Chief Architects and IT functions across the bank.
  • Lead on Innovation and Automation within Americas explore opportunities with internal / external partners, vendors and Fin Techs

Main activities:


  • Managing the endtoend cost base, balance HSBC priorities, ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction whilst also ensuring Data standards and Data controls.
  • Creating, managing and maintaining positive relationships with all customer and service consumer groups, driving a working environment of teamwork, collaboration and support to meet mutual goals for the GB/GFs and HSBC.
  • Responsible for setting objectives related to delivery for direct reports, in line with HR Guidelines
  • Responsible for management of DevOps budget and meeting cost targets
  • Responsible for recruitment of engineering resources within DevOps verticals, in line with HR and Technology guidelines
  • Responsible for performance management and calibration within the DevOps vertical, in line with Practice and HR Policies and Guidelines
  • Responsible for pay and reward decisions for resources within team
  • Responsible for career development, talent management and succession decisions for resources within Team
  • Responsible to deliver in accordance with practice tooling & methods frameworks
  • Responsible to deliver in accordance with all enterprise standards & controls
  • Responsible for facing off Operations including GSC in Mexico
  • Responsible for driving engineering practice of GO&A across Americas
