Job duties

  • Close & implement business opportunities with new and existing customers to meet/ exceed his/her individual and team's sales goals.
  • Prospection of new and potential customers
    according to Transplace solutions & services portfolio:
  • Visits and calls to potential customers
    (Prospecting 1015 hours minimum & 10 Onsite meetings goal per week)

  • Detect new business opportunities
    and solutions with prospects and existing customers.
  • Development of business opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Transition and contribute to onboard opportunities closed to operations departments.
  • Customer Relationship, build trust, rapport and credibility with customers, professional communications; effective and courteous communications, facilitate access to customers to different departments within Transplace when required.
  • Access and resolve issues with upper management.

Requirements:


  • College Major Degree, preferentially in International Trade / International Business
  • 5+ Years in Logistics related positions, 5+ years in sales and/or account management related functions with a logistics services provider
  • Working Knowledge and Utilization of Sales Force as our CRM tool.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft ToolsAbility to leverage Power Point, Excel and other MS programs, including Word, Outlook, Lync, etc.
  • Knowledge of assigned territory jurisdiction customer base, industrial parks and marketplace in general.
  • Knowledge of the Customer's BusinessKnowledge and understanding of the customer product, understand customer service needs and translate them into solutions, speak the customer's language and understand the customer's key service measures, etc.
  • Industry ExpertiseLogistics industry knowledge, including key terminology; and, general knowledge of primary customer industries.
  • Product and solutions Expertise
  • Fully understand and clearly communicate who we are, what we do, how we do it, value we generate, competitive advantage, etc
  • Geographical ExpertiseGeographical understanding of the continental US, Mexico and Canada.
