Job Title: Buyer MRO

As a key member of the HBP Indirect Procurement team, this role executes critical activities in support of Global Hershey manufacturing sites.

This position is committed to providing best-in-class customer service through effective transactional processes and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing MRO indirect procurement activities, including requisition/purchase order transaction processing, invoice resolution, management reporting, and corresponding internal controls.

They will also interface with various stakeholders to source new MRO items, manage expedites, cancellations, and return material processes, ensuring compliance with global procurement policies and procedures.

A strong understanding of SAP/S4 system functionality and experience working in similar positions are essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a customer-centric approach and a proven track record of managing expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quoting, PO Creation, and Documentation Review: Create purchase orders based on requisitions submitted by Global Hershey manufacturing locations, verifying documentation compliance with audit and SOX requirements.
• Investigation and Resolution of PO/AP Issues: Investigate and resolve purchase order issues within SAP, including GR/IR discrepancies, blocked invoices, invoice posting, missing invoices, and PO closing.
• Act as support for purchasing, including quoting new items, collaborating with maintenance and master data teams, and participating in process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Good verbal/written communication skills (spoken, writing, and reading); TOEIC test required 509-775 or equivalent certification.
• BE Food Safety Certification desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in similar positions.
• Experience with SAP ERP or SAP 4 HANA systems.
• Proven experience in managing customer expectations and building effective teams.
• Project Management and Lean Six Sigma experience an advantage.
