The Role We're hiring a dynamic senior leader for our Ecommerce Sales Leadership team. In this role, you'll oversee managers, drive growth and scale our Checkout Platform in Mexico. We are looking for a rockstar who would like to be part of this amazing fast-growing Fintech as a Ecommerce DirectorWhat will I be doing Lead a senior, experienced team of Sr Sales Team Managers and their teams of Sales Executives for scale the Checkout Platform in the market.
Develop the long-term vision and strategy for growing the team and scale day-to-day operations. Adopt and influence the company's sales methodology/process and drive best practices on selling and forecasting.Lead internal teams to deliver results, especially the development of new solutions, improvements and prioritizations Develop best practices that enable the organization to scale more rapidly to deliver on revenue targets and support KPIs for growth.
Provide subject matter expertise to product and engineering teams, delivering critical business insights and launching strategic initiatives. Proactively recommend payment solutions that support payment innovation and optimization. Research emerging trends / best practices to determine implications of proposed payment solutions.Stay updated on the digital payments landscape, such as mobile wallets, digital wallets, open banking, tokenization and bank payments to identify potential partnerships Keep abreast of regulatory changes Relationships in the payments industry are important (suppliers, customers and partners) Monitoring and influencing industry-wide payments change activities and successfully managing those changes internally Write business cases for new initiatives.
Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal issues. Structure complex agreements that include custom commercials, technical integrations, data protection and privacy. Engage with the largest strategic opportunities, leading executive relationships and helping the team win new customers. Help teams choose and sequence the best partners for our products. Supervise and drive decision-making on all agreement mechanics. Ability to travel from 10%-30% depending on project status.Partner cross-functionally across different teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Partnerships, Account Management, SDR), regionally and globally Ideal Candidate Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
+15 years of payments experience in product, partnerships and business development, or equivalent.+8 years of experience with emphasis on B2B Sales, specifically building and managing External Channels and Partnerships to commercialize acquiring products / ecommerce platforms or solutions.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization. Experience leading and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives for organizations. Experience with ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with an entrepreneurial approach. Proficiency in negotiation, business development, client relationship management, consulting services, and project management are required. Self-directed, driven and motivated with demonstrated analytical, negotiation and business development skills.Is mandatory experience within payments and ecommerce platform, checkout, plugin, API integrations, fintech, and/or financial service industries (at least +10 years) Experience in Payments experience with digital merchants.
Understanding and experience in the Latam Markets. Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills and relationship building experience with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers. Experience with payments and technology products. Experience working for an ecommerce platform.Experience in hunting, sales methodology, sales process, funnel and pipeline Experience of working with operations from scratch Experience in maintaining the most senior executive relationships at significant medium and large prospects and helping close those deals.
