What will you do


Lead and/or support production waste reduction programs, efficiency and productivity improvement projects and/or lean Six Sigma projects to improve key business metrics.

Monitor key metrics to sustain the benefits of completed projects and maintain a pipeline of improvement opportunities.

  • Lead and/or support assigned Six Sigma projects using DMAIC and/or Lean methodologies such as kaizen's, Poka Yokes, leader standard work, 6s, etc.
  • Provide data analysis that supports process design and reengineering of key business processes
  • Support value stream mapping activities where applicable to identify key improvement opportunities within businesses;
  • Will establish effective manufacturing systems to support operations, with measurable ways to monitor performance;
  • Work with process owners in developing and improving key business process metrics;
  • Work with Process Excellence Black Belts and Master Black Belts in supporting projects and providing project status, documentation of projects, communicating savings and maintaining the project pipeline;
  • Support the culture to establish Continuous Improvement activities;
  • Support the development, organization, moderation and document Continuous Improvement workshops and trainings;
  • May lead project teams for Continuous Improvement activities;
  • Set up a platform for the exchange of "Best Practice" Process Improvements;
  • Identify cost reduction projects. Plan and control the implementation together with the departments.

What will you need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or related field);
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working within an operational process excellence environment;
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences or other highly regulated industrial environment;
  • Demonstrated experience using DMAIC philosophy;
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, oral & written skills;
  • Demonstrated knowledge in evolving operational and process excellence (Lean, Six Sigma, Design Excellence) concepts and tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/SS methodologies and tools with cross functional teams from inception through implementation of recommendations and solutions;
  • Proven ability to drive & develop improvement of critical business metrics;
  • Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (Prefer Black Belt; Operational, Transactional or Design for Six Sigma);
  • Bilingual: English and Spanish.
