TAX Application Engineer - 008U9V
Key Areas of Responsibility Include:
Overview
· Tax Software & Compliance Tools Including One Source Reporting.
· The One Source Tax Determination Engine attaches to multiple ERPs for sales & use tax determination including use of exemption certificates.
· Responsible for effective relationships with partners, stakeholders, and other teams of the organization, to address technical issues related to the tax engine and reporting.
· Communicating and documenting application's operation (FAQs, Best practices)
Maintenance & Support Work
o Resolve tickets from end users received through our ticketing system
o Understand user problems solving those within our control, redirecting tickets to ERP queues or others as needed.
o Coordinate and troubleshoot between teams to solve customer issues.
o Work with our vendor to resolve customer issues including escalations when necessary.
o Support cloud reporting software.
o Evaluate impacts of new software releases from our vendor Thomson Reuters against existing deployments.
Support Project Work
· Support with working with the business tax department to understand their needs
· Support with working with various ERP organizations (SAP, S4 Hana, Oracle, Zuora) to ensure proper setup and configuration.
· Support with working with our vendor of the Cloud tax engine solution to design effective solutions to meet the customer needs.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with OneSource Tax Determination (formerly called Sabrix) tax engine from Thomson Reuters or equivalent (ie. Vertex, Taxware, others).
· Experience with OneSource Determination Reporting and Exemption Certification Management Software.
· Proven customer relationship skills.
· Familiarity with various ERP's such as SAP S4Hana, SAP, Oracle, Zuora.
· Understanding of typical accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
· Experience reading and analyzing XML files. (desirable)
· Experience performing joins, V-lookups and any other intermediate-advanced skills in excel.
· Experience working with applications & infrastructure including security and networking teams.
· Experience working on agile scrum teams.
· Experience using the Microsoft Suite of Applications (Teams, Microsoft Office, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc).
· Reporting from SQL archived database as necessary.
· Familiarity with file transferring by using FTP client like FileZilla to connect with other FTP servers.
