You Are:


UST is currently seeking for a Linux System Engineer - Senior, you will be an integral member of the Cloud operations team, developing, maintaining, and modernizing best-in-class advancements for our Linux systems and cloud infrastructure.

This position is expected to implement solutions without guidance, contribute to Linux systems architectural designs frequently, and be the SME for all Linux technologies in the company.

It will also require serving as a mentor for the team throughout knowledge transfer, implementing best practices, planning, and simplifying processes with automation.


The Opportunity:


  • Architectlevel Playbooks/Templates using RHEL.
  • Contribute to performing migrations and integrations (M&As).
  • Manage automation platforms (IaC/CaC)
  • Create and proactively maintain accurate CloudOps engineering Linux documentation.
  • Support compliance workflows related to Linux services.
  • Assist with typical daily troubleshooting, patching, incidents, requests, and problem management for our Linux environments.
  • Be a key member in our effort to modernize and optimize our current Linux platform.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and Linux infrastructure availability/reliability
  • Contribute to maintaining our KPIs and SLAs
  • Manage/implement proactive monitoring in our Linux environments.
  • Provide deep analysis of all Linux system issues.
  • Always looking for ways to enhance our security posture in our Linux platforms.
  • Contribute to capacity planningrelated forecasting.
  • Other Tasks assigned by Management.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.


What you need:


  • 8+ years of deep handson experience managing, maintaining, and modernizing Linux environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
  • System expertise in multiple technologies Public Clouds, Linux, VMWare, etc.
  • Strong expertise in Automation, scripting, monitoring, etc.
  • Strong understanding of PaaS and IaaS offerings
  • Strong experience with Public Clouds (Azure and AWS)
  • Strong knowledge of core services (DNS, AD/AAD, Networking, etc)
  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • SME Linux experience deployed in public Cloud Services, SaaS, and IaaS.
  • IaC and CaC strong experience
  • Enterprise Linux level support.
  • Experience with Cloud Center of Excellence models
  • Create short
- and long-term tactical decisions and contribute to long-term strategies and team results.

  • Linux certifications.
