JOB PURPOSE

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • As Firstline managers are primarily responsible for overseeing a department or team of employees. In a general sense, they make sure that their team fulfills the daily and overarching goals of a given organization. Since firstline managers typically work closely with team members, they are deeply connected to organizational operations. They understand how to motivate team members effectively, track targets, take metrics, develop schedules, and ensure team members are staying focused overall
  • Provides the governance for a cluster of semiautonomous teams, delivering management and leadership support for performance monitoring, overtime allocation, working patterns and dispute resolution.
  • To provide visible leadership for Factories in unit
  • Manage employee relations to ensure high engagement levels in unit
  • Implement agreed SU indirect structures in unit
  • Manage the operations (manufacturing and maintenance) of the factory
  • Manage and respond on factory service levels, efficiencies, quality compliance, OSHE compliance and cost compliance
  • Lead Factory improvement programs
  • Support implementation of innovation within the factory and deliver to agreed ramp up plans
  • Manage and improve deployment of resources, people budgets and assets, to comply with cost and financial targets

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Professional Engineering Skills (Educated to degree standard in an engineering discipline)
  • Engineering Design Process Management (Working knowledge)
  • Project Delivery (All sub skills
  • Fully Operational)
  • Maintenance Principles and Best practice (Working Knowledge)
  • EEM / EPM / BFI (Working Knowledge)
  • Experience of operating with semiautonomous or autonomous teams.
  • 5+ Years experience of Project Engineering/ operations management/Maintenance in FMCG / related Industry or gained in an engineering consultancy environment
  • Experience of Handling team of Operators and managing High speed lines
