Descripción
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our finance team as a General Ledger Accountant.As a GL Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting and accounting practices within a key operating group, including account reconciliations, monthend close procedures, reviewing vendor bills, processing payments, and creating customer invoices.
NetSuite experience is preferred with knowledge of journal entries, memorized transactions, invoicing, sales orders, sales tax, management of Accounts.In addition, the position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations for monthend close.
Analyze monthly general ledger transactions to make appropriate accruals and journal entries as needed.
Critically review accounting transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Consistently meet applicable financial reporting deadlines for the operating group.
Provide deliverables as requested to support the annual external audit.
Play a critical role in assisting with process improvement of accounting processes.
Maintain fixed assets schedules and record related transactions in the accounting system.
Conduct monthly variance analysis, including reporting and researching unexpected variances.
Support all revenue recognition processes, including booking journal entries and completing reconciliations.
Proactively suggest process improvements that will help incrementally improve the longterm success of the accounting department.
Serve as a liaison between the accounting department and the leaders within the operating group.
Complete other related ad hoc requests as necessary to contribute to the departments success.
SKILLS
QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced or fluid English
both verbal and written2 years of experience in corporate accounting environment.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to research and resolve general accounting issues.
Experience with ERP Systems, NetSuite strongly preferred.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Desire to work in a fastpaced and collaborative environment.
Ability to multitask and perform duties efficiently and meet deadlines.
Capable of working independently and a strong team player.
Selfstarter who willingly proposes new and improved solutions without prompt.
CONSIDERATIONS
This is a 100 remote position for residents from any state in Mexico.
