- With oversight, complete take-offs and full estimates for electrical construction projects using Accubid LiveCount software
- Review blueprints, specifications, and other documents as it relates to the project
- Attend pre-bid job meetings and site surveys as needed
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs, price, and labor on all items
- Ensure timely completion of estimates by understanding the proper bid date, time and the correct delivery method for bids
- Assemble estimate folder ensuring all estimate information is complete
- Participate in project turnover and setup
- Participate in post-project reviews to improve estimating methods and procedures
- Assist Project Manager in estimating change orders or any other project's changed conditions
- Support Estimators and Sr. Estimators with portions of large estimates
- Track wins/loses of bids and understand how you can improve on completing future estimates
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related program is a plus, classes in estimating or design helpful
- In lieu of college degree, commercial field electrical experience or completion of Electrical trade program
- 1-3 years' experience as an Electrical Estimator is a plus, but this is an entry level job and not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook with a proven ability to learn Engineering programs or relatable CRM/Cloud based software like Salesforce

Baker Corporate Services provides engineering, operations, and accounting support to Baker Electric and Baker Electric Home Energy. Located in Tijuana Mexico, the BCS team will perform work that supports the successful completion of residential, commercial and industrial construction projects in the United States. We are committed to ensuring an ethical and inclusive work environment.
SUMMARY: Our Tijuana, MX office is looking for an Estimator I that will prepare estimates for our new construction group. You'll have a strong team of Senior Estimators and a Chief Estimator to learn from along the way. This is an entry level role, great for a recent graduate or someone in the field looking to join the office.
