Group Jegantic is looking to add new members to their "brigade de cuisine" for 2 of their restaurants.

Every restaurant provides a culinary journey influenced by the cooking styles of Europe, Asia, and Central America with a unique never seen concept.

Title of the position, Duties and Conditions:

Chef

  • Prepare and cook speciality food.
  • Create new recipes as needed.
  • Analyze recipes and make menu changes when necessary to minimize overhead costs.
  • Supervise kitchen activities.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation (cooking and garnishing) and presentation of food.
  • Meeting with clients as needed to arrange menu items for special occasions.
  • Coordinate food budget and purchase.
  • Monitor and oversee sanitation practices as per the standard and regulations of cleanliness.
  • Establish staff schedule to ensure there is sufficient help and timely delivery.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Chef.


  • Trade Certification

  • Cooking.
  • Experience cooking Asian, Italian and/or Peruvian cuisine.
  • Experience working in restaurants rated 4+ stars.
  • Experience in Pastry is an asset.

Cook

  • Prepare and cook dishes.
  • Oversee the kitchen operations.
  • Maintain inventories and supplies.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is respected.
  • Make adjustment to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns.
  • Work under the instructions of the Chef.
  • Arranging and garnishing the dishes.
  • Other related tasks.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a cook or Trade Certification
  • Cooking.
  • Experience cooking Asian, Italian and/or Peruvian cuisine.
  • Experience working in restaurants rated 4+ stars.
  • Experience in Pastry is an asset.

Wage and Working hours:

Hourly wage of $16.25-$25.00 based on experience.

Full time position hours per week)


Language requirements:


  • French or English knowledge is a must.

Benefits package:


  • 2 weeks of vacation per year as per the Quebec Law.
  • Private insurance until provincial health coverage (RAMQ).
  • Immigration process paid and completed by the employer.

Salary:
$8, $506,640.00 per week
