    Sr. Support Engineer | VMware Automation (vRealize Automation | Aria) - Hybrid

    Lab Support Engineering is at the heart of a worldwide lab operations team providing 24x7 lab access, service and solutions support in multiple locations. Independent and flexible, team members are always ready to adapt to the changing daily priorities. They make an impact in all kinds of ways – from installing and maintaining servers and storage equipment within the fast-paced lab computing environment through to providing top-level technical expertise and support to engineering departmental users. What's more, they work with engineering teams to create the right architectural designs and come up with the correct solutions that would meet the various software/hardware configuration requirements in support of engineering test and development environments.

    What you will achieve:

    As a Sr. Lab Support Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and performing installations, configurations, preventive and corrective maintenance of servers, switches and storage equipment located within the LAB computing environment.

    You will:


    - Provide support at the client/server and SAN/storage array architecture level to configure, troubleshoot, and maintain engineering computer lab systems for the lab computing environment.
    - Provide high-level technical expertise and proper implementation of new hardware including servers, switches and storage arrays.
    - Work with engineering departments to create the proper architectural designs and devise the correct solutions to meet various software/hardware configuration requirements in support of engineering test and development environments.
    - Troubleshoot hardware/software, operating systems, virtual machines (VMware, Dockers) and be familiar with cloud computing platforms, e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
    - Be available for frequent physical access to the engineering lab environment, and will need to apply judgment and technical knowledge to arrive at solutions, with a willingness to expand your skill set and learn new technologies.

    Essential Requirements

    Advanced English (works directly with global teams)

    Strong skills in virtualization technologies (VMWare) - VRealize Aria Automation
    - Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and UNIX
    - Networking switch background

    Desirable Requirements

    Docker, Active Directory, Networking switch knowledge
    - Security and SSL certificate management
