- Perform daily TMS maintenance and monitoring activities to ensure stable and consistent SAP system operations.
- Monitor SAP system performance, transport queues, system logs, alerts, and workload distribution.
- Execute and troubleshoot transport requests, system changes, and environment updates.
- Collaborate with SAP Basis administrators in managing system copies, refreshes, kernel updates, and patching activities.
- Maintain system health through proactive monitoring and timely resolution of incidents or performance issues.
- Escalate critical issues to senior engineers and support teams as required.
- Work closely with application teams, security teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth SAP landscape operations.
- Document technical procedures, incident resolutions, and operational standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for automation, monitoring enhancements, and process optimization.
- Participate in on‑call rotations (if applicable).
- Hands-on experience with SAP Basis (administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting).
- Knowledge of SAP TMS architecture, transport routes, client strategies, and import/export mechanisms.
- Strong proficiency in at least one operating system:

- Solid understanding of systems administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Position Summary
The SAP TMS Maintenance and Monitoring Engineer will be part of the team formerly known as the SAP Basis Run Team, responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of SAP landscapes. This role focuses on monitoring, maintaining, and supporting SAP Transport Management System (TMS) and all underlying technical components.
Candidates with SAP Basis experience are preferred. However, individuals without formal SAP Basis background may also be considered if they demonstrate solid proficiency in Linux, Windows, and database technologies (HANA, Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server, and/or DB2).
