Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor

Description


Responsible for the correct operation of the ASRS to ensure the material supply in time and quantity of all areas (molding, assembly, receipt and shipments).

Must ensure the accuracy and traceability of the existing inventories of finished product and raw material, as well as the follow-up of the area's key indicators (line stoppages and inventory aging).

Must also guarantee the total safety of the personnel and resources under his charge.


Responsibilities

  • Manage operational staff (kitting operators).
  • SAP knowledge, WM module.
  • Generation of material aging reports and followup on materials until their final disposal
  • Supervise the load, unload and supply of materials in the ASRS.
  • Oversees and develops a motivated, trained and optimally resourced team to ensure that performance levels and professional development meet or exceed Molex business objectives.
  • Audits the records of loads and unloads of the ASRS.
  • Carry out cycle counts in the ASRS.
  • Review packaging conditions of each material ensuring the correct location and condition of the materials in the ASRS
  • Supply materials against the production plan and routes established in accordance with FIFO, material handler board or any replenishment or supply process of raw material.
  • Scrap control and management.
  • Monitor the status of the ASRS equipment (inbound and outbound stations, scales, cameras, shuttle carts, etc.). Keeping daily error records, as well as coordinating the corresponding maintenance with the facilities team.
  • Establish and maintain 5s standards in all areas of ASRS.
  • Carry out regular cycle counts in the ASRS and participate in physical inventories.
  • Verify status and control the inventory of empty equipment used in the ASRS (damage report, quantities, etc.).
  • Ensure the Use and Care of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Work together with the necessary departments to comply with the production plan and delivery plan to customers.
  • Create and modify Work Instructions corresponding to your area.
  • Identify areas for improvement (process, documentation, facilities, etc.)
  • Comply with the requirements of IATF 16949 and ISO 1400
  • Understand and support the Molex PBM initiative, adopting the Five Dimensions and Guiding Principles. Provide guidance and leadership to the unit to ensure staff receive appropriate training and support in PBM.
  • Availability to rotate shifts as needed
  • Comply with the environmental policy and objectives. Know the environmental aspects and impacts, as well as the emergency plan.
  • Support for warehouse activities, in addition to training new personnel in the use of the ASRS

What will you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Industrial engineering, bussines administration or similar.

Required

  • Minimum experience of 2 to 3 years in automotive manufacturing plants as area leader or warehouse supervisor.
  • Understanding of warehouse, logistics and materials management processes.
  • Practical knowledge of optimization and principles of WM and Logistics processes.
  • Working knowledge of WM and Logistics methods and processes.
  • SAP working knowledge, WM module.
  • Previous experience supervising staff.

Preferred

  • 5 years of experience in the automotive industry as a warehouse supervisor.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM, WM, IM and SD.
  • Basic English.
  • Personnel management.
  • Knowledge of maintenance of automated equipment.
