About the job:


The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Market Development Representative to work closely with the Sales team and to join us in Mexico City, Mexico.

In this role, you will identify sales opportunities within Red Hat's emerging technologies across key industry trends like cloud, storage, middleware, and mobile.

Working closely with sales specialists and account managers, you'll use a consultative sales approach to qualify sales-ready opportunities.

You'll need to understand complex business problems and industry trends and use this information to profile and tailor Red Hat's value propositions when engaging with end users.

As a Market Development Representative, you will collaborate with stakeholders from across Red Hat, including marketing, sales, and partner teams.


What you will do:

  • Identify new sales opportunities across predefined solutions areas within the Red Hat portfolio
  • Look for potential customers and new business opportunities through a variety of techniques, including social media and other tools
  • Identify and align Red Hat's solutions to meet customer needs or requirements
  • Ensure that outbound activity is in line with set targets and objectives
  • Use concise messaging to target a variety of industry verticals and contacts
  • Adjust activity and behavior based on pipeline coverage
  • Ensure that customer relationship management (CRM) systems are maintained and updated
  • Maintain an uptodate knowledge of the industry and of Red Hat's competitive position in it
  • Support team members and other associates
  • Represent Red Hat to the customer and vice versa in all salesrelated matters

What you will bring:

  • Detailed knowledge of the sales cycle within an information technology (IT) organization
  • Knowledge of consultative sales techniques like solutions selling sales methodology
  • 1+ year(s) of internal account management or business development experience
  • Previous experience managing outbound activities
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Comfortable presenting thoughts, ideas, and stories of success to the business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and motivation to learn and grow in an innovative technology company
  • Excellent communication skills in English
