About our client
Our client is Mexico's leading renewable energy producer, with a strong presence across central and northern regions. The company delivers affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy, operating with excellence and strong collaboration alongside energy authorities and local communities. As part of its continued growth, the company is seeking its next FP&A Senior Manager to join its leadership team and help drive the next phase of expansion. This position is based in Mexico City, Mexico.
What the job involves
- Own and manage the company's core financial model, ensuring accuracy, strategic alignment, and full integration with long-term planning and portfolio optimization initiatives
- Lead financial modeling for strategic growth initiatives, including M&A and greenfield opportunities, providing rigorous investment analysis and decision support
- Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, and Controlling teams to validate business assumptions and translate them into actionable financial insights
- Lead quarterly reporting and executive presentations for the Board of Directors, shareholders, and senior leadership, delivering clear and decision-oriented analysis
- Drive advanced scenario modeling and ad hoc financial analysis, supporting critical business decisions in a dynamic environment
- Oversee portfolio performance and supervise the Senior Analyst, ensuring strong variance analysis, high-quality deliverables, and continuous team development
Who we are looking for
- Extensive experience in project finance modeling, ideally gained in investment banking, private equity, or similarly rigorous financial environments
- Advanced financial modeling expertise with strong Excel capabilities, including the ability to build, audit, and enhance complex, multi-layered models with precision
- Solid command of valuation methodologies, capital structure mechanics, and full financial statement analysis, with the ability to translate technical outputs into strategic conclusions
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical judgment, capable of navigating sophisticated financial structures while maintaining a strategic perspective
- Strong communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders, including executives, investors, and cross-functional leaders
- Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-demand environments, managing tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Experience in energy, power generation, or infrastructure sectors is highly valued, particularly in capital-intensive or asset-based businesses
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and developing junior team members while maintaining high performance standards
- English proficiency is a must
