Description


This position is responsible for notifying customs agents and customers of rejections, releasing detainee (XP) and rejected (RI) codes, collaborating in making export pull offers, monitoring unit documentation, and continually notifying possible errors to customs agents and clients, to make times at crossings and speed up movement in yards.

Interacting with Sagarpa, Steevadores, and other players in the train movements import and export.

Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Solves a range of moderately complex problems. Leads projects of limited scope and portions of larger projects. Provides informal guidance to team members with less experience. Contributes to department objectives and outcomes as guided.


Accountabilities

  • Codifies and releases the hold codes for instance, red codes by customs recognition, detainees (XP) and rejected codes (RI) are released, MSA, hold gamma, GI etc.
  • Processes preselection of units before customs on the northbound, and process train offerings to customs on the southbound.
  • Verifies the pedimentos Transitos, add folios to containers on transit.
  • Transmit and process all train consist information to SAT and CBP on north bound trains.
  • Communicates with Supervisor at Nuevo Laredo, UP, KCS, and CAT regarding train transmissions.
  • Participates in the sagarpa, sat release process proactively involved to expedite clearance of cars/containers.
  • Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture in each interaction with team, clients, and stakeholders.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study.
  • Minimum two (2) years of operations or relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Analytical, decision making, problem solving skills.

Working Conditions

  • This position has a regular full time schedule with rotating shifts that include weekends, and holidays and night shifts.
  • This position requires also working outside.
  • This position may require mínimal travel up to 10% of the time.
