As part of this journey, Elanco is looking for experienced financial leaders with strong leadership and business partnering skills to help Senior Management make well-informed, data-driven decisions.


This position will serve as the Accounting Analyst for the broader US entity, but primarily focusing on the Commerical business and report to the US Controller.

Specifically, the role requires strong knowledge of accounting, controls, SOx understanding, and technology while working effectively as both a preparer and a teammate to achieve the accounting goals for the organization.


Responsibilities

Functions, Duties, Tasks:


  • Help prepare several areas of accounting, controls, and SOx activities for the US legal entity potentially including the following:
  • Assisting with the preparation of recurring payroll activities.
  • Performing key monthend close activities _(e.g., SMOI, Returns Reserve, GRIR, Account Reconciliations, etc.)_
  • Assist in preparation of TBpack reviews as part of monthly close
  • Assist in key aspects of payroll activity for the US entity, including preparation of the FSIP (i.e., Sales Bonus Program) for the US Pet Health and US Farm Animal businesses
  • Assist in preparation of automation efforts across the US Commercial enterprise to more efficiently and accurately produce deliverables
  • Assist in preparation of Ad-Hoc management internal reporting materials.
  • Support in the preparation of any new close activities not presently being performed.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to help organization make informed decisions and achieve superior results; lead adhoc business cases and projects which have enterprise impact where required
  • Serve as liaison to stakeholders supporting Elanco controls environment, including ECAR, EY, CAS, and Commercial Leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor and / or Masters degree level education in Finance / Accounting
years of experience in accounting / controls, ideally including time with a public accounting firm or other experience with large multi-national corporations


Additional Skills & Preferences:


  • Ability to influence and partner with internal stakeholders
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong sense of organization
  • Ability to collect and analyze complex information
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and plan work efforts, progress on multiple concurrent deliverables and consistently meet deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of financial concepts; propensity and comfort working with large data sets typically within Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated business/process ownership
  • Established IT skills, preferably SAP experience
  • Deep knowledge of accounting and finance, including advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other automation tools
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the broader team
  • Personal accountability and strong drive for execution
