Based on the knowledge of our customer's Core network, The EPC Consultant will support their Core Teams to translate Business/Functional requirements into Technical requirements, specifying a high-level design for complex changes, or just acting as a support for a decision making.


To be successful the Nokia's EPC Consultant must be engaged on the business requirements discussion since the beginning, it means, as soon as our customer's business team raise new requirements, the consultant will be engaged to analyze the technical feasibility of these requirements and/or proposed alternatives to implement these requirements in a technical perspective.


The EPC Consultant should be in charge to develop the HLD and respective LLD whenever it is required or at least signoff it before sharing these documents with our customer.


It is key for the success of the EPC Consultant to work together with the business team to collect and evaluate the business requirements, translate that in a technical requirement and then interact with our customer's Teams to design the HLD and respective LLD.


Technical skills and qualifications:


  • Deep knowledge of mobile packet core networks Design and functionality of GGSN, SGSN, SAE-GW and MME. Including HLD and LLD.
  • Expert level on GPRS and 2G/3G/4G networks and interfaces
  • Strong experience and knowledge of GSM/Packet-Core/EPC networks, routing and signaling; and GPRS call flow concept with all PS core nodes including Gb, Gr, Gn, Gi, Gx, Gy,Gz interfaces.
  • Commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting of ATCA SGSN/GGSN, virtualized solutions (CMM/CMG) and containers. Other Packet Core products is a plus.
  • Knowledge of adjacent thirdparty NE's: Infoblox DNS, Checkpoint FW, Juniper and Cisco Routers/Switches.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Packet Core services and customer interface preferred. NI/Care
