Important company in Cd. Juarez requests Material Engineering and Commodity Specialist

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:
B.S. in Engineering

8+ years relevant sourcing & engineering work experience on packaging is preferred

Strong Statistical Process Controls and Quality Skills, Good data analysis and documentation skills

Strong technical and problem solving skills, Strong communication skills, Familiar withglobal trade and incoterms, Fluent with both English and Spanish as working language

Working Conditions/Physical Requirement:
Office Environment, 10% - 15% local travel to customers and suppliers. *(could include periods of heavier travel forPresentations, QBR's etc.)

Non-traditional work hours / Flexible work schedule, 10% - 15% time spent coordinating with partners in the APAC region timezone.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical assessment of current and potential Veritiv Mexico supplier capabilities, Map supplier capabilities to current and future customer requirements.

Coordinate FAI(first article inspection) and DFM (design for manufacturing) reviews with the supply base and ensure all the customer requirements are fully understood.

Provide alternative solutions to address DFM issues either providing design change proposal or improving process to challenge suppliers' limitation.
