The team you will be a part of:

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This role in summary:

Your responsibilities will include:

-
Lead team to deliver the design and execution of cavity and cooktop components with respect to culinary performance including heating elements, convection systems, utensils, racks, trays, griddles, and grills;
-
Driving team to create, verify, and validate advanced cooking and sensing algorithms to provide best in class culinary performance;
-
Responsible for all aspects of the subsystem life cycle with a focus on concept through production technical guidance for both New Product Introduction and Cost & Quality;
-
Responsible for subsystem development including requirements management, integration, subsystem verification, and validation;
-
Lead planning, training, and facilitation of laboratory technicians;
-
Develop strong relationships with all key process partners;
-
Continuously improve the planning, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness;
-
Development of the IP portfolio, patent attainment, and achievement of sustainable technology advantage;
-
Create and manage performance technology roadmap and drive implementation of new innovations into products;
-
Lead a global team;
-
Manage continuous improvement of core competencies, talent pipeline, and succession plans for key roles and competencies;
-
Develop technical expertise throughout the organization, through coaching, mentoring, and capability development of global Food Tech engineers;
-
Globally accountable for system level attribute performance to enable product leadership;
-
Accountable to develop technology and module roadmaps aligned to global product plans;
-
Work closely with other Food Technology Labs throughout the world to identify and share best practices.

Minimum requirements:

-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering;
-
5+ years of experience in Appliance, Consumer Goods, or Food Manufacturing Industry;
-
3+ years of experience with product development tools such as DFMEA ( Design Failure Mode Effect ), A3 (Problem Solving Form), DVP&R (Design Verification, Plan & Report) and Stage Gate Development Plan;
-
3+ years of experience in Technical Project Management.

Preferred skills and experiences:

-
Bachelor's Degree Food Engineering, Food Science or related Science/Engineering;

Master's degree in Engineering is a plus;
-
Advanced knowledge of food chemistry and heat transfer;
-
Strong system integration skills;
-
Global team experience;
-
People leadership experience;
-
Ability to travel to global design centers;
-
Knowledge of consumer agency evaluation methodologies;
-
Black Belt/Opex/Six Sigma certification;
-
Systems Engineering Training/Certification;
-
Kinetic modeling of reactions in food;
-
Ability to analyze mechanical and electrical systems;
-
Knowledge of control theory and control systems;
-
Strong desire to grow, learn and take on new and challenging tasks;
-
Strong analytical skills, experience in solving practical issues and engaging cross-functional teams of multiple process partners to a consensus.
