Position Description:


This position in cooperation with the International VAT Manager (located in Warsaw) will be supporting Indirect Tax compliance processes, external advisors, and support for in-country businesses in LATAM/NA countries.

The role requires a comprehensive understanding of VAT requirements and practice.


Functions, Duties, Tasks:


  • Preparation of the VAT returns for assigned countries within the LATAM/NA region.
  • Review of the VAT returns prepared by colleagues (peer review for ensuring accuracy but to allow development and support (possibility of participation in VAT topics in other regions).
  • Provide ad hoc advice on VAT questions to local country Finance team, including support in relation to design/tax audit support of locally performed VAT compliance.
  • Coordination with other direct and customs colleagues, as applicable (e.g., treatment of transfer pricing adjustments)
  • Cooperation with IT (information technology) in relation to SAP set up.
  • Tax function on VAT aspects of various internal projects, including risk management review.

Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of a VAT system of at least one LATAM country (preferred MX, CO, AR, CL) with at least 2 years of professional experience (within business or advisory company).
  • Bachelor and / or Master's degree level education in Finance / Accounting
  • Advance English (spoken and written)
  • Accounting skills with agility in managing the main statements (P&L, balance sheet)
  • Previous experience with SAP would be a significant advantage.
  • Proven track record of delivery in a multinational, fastpaced, deliveryoriented environment with strict deadlines and highquality standards
  • Team player who is also able to work independently but enjoys collaboration

Additional Preferences:


  • Knowledge of accounting and finance, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (knowledge other automation tools would be a plus e.g., Alteryx)
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the broader, multinational and dispersed team
  • Personal accountability and strong drive for execution
