JOB PURPOSE:

Participates on facility teams to develop material flow plans and pull material replenishment plans. Responsible for population of the Plan for Every Part database. Support efforts to improve factory flow to enhance lean material flow.

% Facility Parts / Components in PFEP Database - performing 100% to annual corporate target
% Facility Parts on Pull - performing to 100% of annual corporate target for qualified parts


JOB DUTIES:


Responsible for performing work to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets focused on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns and improved order-to-delivery results.

Documents PFEP information in the PFEP Web Tool, including, but not limited to:

  • Facility lean material flow plans
- data on demand and demand variability
- supplier shipping performance and variability percentages for purchased finished material (both time and quantity)


This position deploys visual elements and standard work in facilities, and actively supports facility change management activities as new supply chain processes are deployed.

Incumbent documents Standard Work Processes and makes it available to execute Part Planning at the facility.

Performs tactical, hands-on work to achieve CPS supply chain process compliance and MQ Certification for a facility.


Performs tactical, hands-on work with other Supply Chain functions, 3rd party providers and facility divisions to drive supply chain improvements.

The incumbent analyzes value stream supply chain constraints and deploys corrective action.

Minimal Travel Required (5% - 15% working time)


POSITION IMPACTS:


Incumbent supports the achievement of corporate supply chain performance targets, including improvements in Order-to-Delivery metrics, inventory levels / turns, Supply Chain Planning / PFEP, % material on pull, MQ Certification requirements and supply chain assessments for a facility.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Knowledge of standard supply chain systems.
  • Must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work across functions to perform work deploying supply chain improvements.
  • Requires problemsolving skills to solve common problems.
  • Must be a strong team player in order to be effective in deploying supply chain improvements as part of a team.
  • Must possess understanding of manufacturing and operations standard processes and basic product knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze business conditions and situations during deployment needed to minimize disruption to daily requirements.
  • CPS Support Team Member Qualified
  • CPS Functional Job Role Qualified
  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired
  • College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience, is required.
  • Fluent English

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience required
  • 6 Sigma project experience and Manufacturing Engineering experience highly desired.
  • Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process highly desired
  • A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is desired.
