Danone Mexico with the new context and global needs has a new R&I Organization unified as a ONE DANONE to take care of the Water, Dairy and Plant Based portfolio.

One of the strategic areas to fuel the growth of the company is related to cost efficiency, where a new Team has been put in place named PROFIT CENTER.

Within the Profit Center we focus on creating value through formula and packaging reformulations and redesign to be more competitive and deliver profitability to the whole materials part of the P&L.

Also we believe in new ways of working and models to add more on re balancing the attributes valued by consumers using Design To Value and Design Thinking methodologies to challenge current base of specifications and product offer.

About you

The Profit Center Team is looking for a FORMULA DEVELOPER to continue feeding the pipeline and executing cost saving initiatives both at a preliminary phase and industrially.

Main Objectives are:

Co Create new Reformulation opportunities to feed productivity pipeline (preliminary study, valorization with business case)
Prototype validation at pilot scale
Scale up formulation opportunities at industrial scale
Follow up of designated projects to launch successfully (on time in full)
Co Build the Team Deliverables along the year to capitalize internal strat plan

Projects OTIF (on time in full)
New projects proposition and put in place

Alternative suppliers identified and assessed
Techno push and scouting initiatives aligned with productivity projects
Academic background: Graduate studies in Engineering (Food, Chemistry) or equivalent.
Minimum previous working experience in the field: 5 years
Experience in Formulation and Reformulation of food systems and operations at factory level (preferably food systems like Dairy, Plant Based, Beverages, Desserts)
Pilot testing of different formulation alternatives
Affinity with industrial trials, technical feasibility and industrial floor hurdles
Good know how of ingredients, flavors, stabilizers, milk science, unit operations
Good Analythical Skills
Good Project Management skills to manage own project agenda with transversal team members
English proficiency (fluent speaking, writing & reading skills)
Problem solving
Stage/gate process
Flexibility to travel to other sites or Head Office
Aware of customer and consumer insights

Soft Skills required

Excellent communication skills

1.1. Technically capable to influence industrial and engineering stakeholders with hard technical data
1.2. Financial acumen to be able to translate technically feasible projects into business case and influence top line stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, Commercial)
1.3. Verbal discipline to present at different stakeholder level (from floor technician to VP level), able to adapt message to the audience in presentation and in speech
