    About the Role

    The Practice and Technology Administrator is a key position within our Legal Operations team, providing administrative and coordination support to a group of lawyers. This role requires a strong understanding of the practice's clients and work, as well as the ability to manage calendars, client files, and billing systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build a strong understanding of the practice's clients and work, aligning with the Department's business strategy and the Firm's goals.
    • Manage calendars for assigned lawyers, scheduling calls and meetings, and ensuring all supporting papers and information are available.
    • Support fee-earners in the smooth running of the client/matter lifecycle, following documented procedures and ensuring all required information and documentation is obtained and stored correctly.
    • Develop a strong working knowledge of the Firm's billing systems, including processes, IT systems, and specialist support available internally.
    • Support fee-earners with monitoring and addressing unpaid bills, liaising with Credit Control as required.
    • Manage travel and expenses for assigned fee-earners, ensuring business travel is booked via the Firm's in-house provider.
    • Maintain and file all documents in line with the Firm's electronic and hard copy filing protocols.
    • Assist fee-earners in keeping their LinkedIn and Mishcon profiles up to date.
    • Organize business events and ensure business expenses are captured, approved, and processed for payment in line with policy.
    • Assist fee-earners in logging referrals and contacts to Interaction.
    • Support the fee-earning teams in using existing tools and technology, including giving access and providing administrative support.
    • Contribute to requirements gathering for new technology and solutions, including testing and providing active feedback.
    • Facilitate testing and engage other members of the team in any pilots for new technology.
    • Contribute to training and engagement planning for new technology and solutions, in collaboration with the Tech, Strategy, and Academy Tech Learning teams.
    • Support the rollout of new technology and solutions.
    • Be actively involved in the MDR LAB programme as and when required.

    The Practice and Technology Administrator will be part of a friendly and high-performing team, providing great service to our lawyers and the Firm's clients. The team is responsible for providing administrative and coordination support to a group of lawyers, and the successful candidate will be highly skilled in the Technology systems used in their team.

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the practice's clients and work, as well as excellent administrative and coordination skills. They will also have a particular interest in new technology and be able to work with the Technology and Strategy teams to test and design new systems.
