BS in engineering (or equivalent)2+ years manufacturing experience in the automotive industry (IATF 16949)
Six Sigma tools, Black Belt Certified preferable
Experience and demonstrable competencies in Lean Manufacturing & Core Tools
Computer skills using Microsoft Office products
Soft/Interpersonal Competencies
Able to speak, understand, and write in English and Spanish at the professional level.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in a highly cross-functional environment.
Excellent organization and coordination skills with ability to own the leadership and schedule with a track record of delivering production on time
Leadership skills to teach, train, and lead others in the manufacturing process.
Experience with manufacturing operations. Interest in high volume manufacturing techniques.
- Manages a team of skill trades, on regards to quality assurance and quality control topics.
- Establish relationships with internal and external business partners (IT,Adv Mfg, Assy, Gears, Mach, Finance, ME, PTME), to create synergies and achieve the plant objectives
- Leads the team to review, follow and align them to Global Ford Production System (Key Unifying Process, Time and Data Management, Aligned and Capable Organization)
- Provide technical leadership to develop continuously people resources - both in projects as well as in day-to-day operations.
- Provide periodic updates to Senior Management related to KPIs (Key process indicators)
- Supports the digital transformation identifying opportunities on the data management.
- Strategic planning of the area focused on Security, Quality, Delivery, People for organizational goals.
- Ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated and executed to plan thru all area members (team Leaders, Skill trades, Operators, and Engineers)
- Provides feedback, mentoring and coaching to the group of collaborators as well as performance evaluation. Develop and maintain a positive team-based working environment in which the team takes pride in exceeding plans and quality standards.
- Provide cross-functional leadership to set and maintain the expected quality on new products and processes for manufacturing.
