    About the Role

    The Claims Analyst is responsible for prompt and efficient analysis of claim documents and communication received by internal/external clients. Analysts process claim documents including set up of new claims, correspondence with clients and partners, and processing financial updates in the system. They are also responsible to set efficient Technical Approval on Low/Flow claims. They work within the team to resolve issues and improve processes by performing root cause analysis. Analyst I's Maintain data quality overall and create consistency between the information in the system and the treaty or contract. This person should be self-motivated with analytical skills and attention to detail. This person must be able to work in a dynamic environment with the ability to navigate through periods of change and ambiguity.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Set up new claims including, but not limited to, initial review, coverage analysis, selection of the correct Business, Main Line of Business, Loss Cause/location & Consequence, and Industry Segment within established turnaround time.
    • Process claim documents including correspondence with clients and partners, updates, and financial updates in the system within established turnaround time.
    • Apply efficient Technical Approval on Low and Flow claims from a transactional perspective within location specific claim authority limit.
    • Independently analyze and understand Reinsurance treaties, certificates and technical clauses. Demonstrate know-how in applying that knowledge. (i.e. correct booking of data as per treaty conditions)
    • Utilize root cause analysis and review pain points in order to resolve issues and improve processes. Demonstrate proactive problem solving and proactive critical thinking skill.
    • Demonstrate understanding of the financial transaction end-to-end process and understand the impact of automation and dependencies. Troubleshoot and resolve automation failures.
    • Maintain data quality by creating consistency between the information in the system and treaty or certificate. Ensure requirements of corporate policies and controls are met. (SOPs, ITC, LPE)
    • Support the requirements of internal clients: RAM, RLM, TA Ops, UW, Business Services, and CL and Finance. Liaise with the RLM cash team as required.
    • Understand ACORD standards, identify and support eAdmin solutions (B3i, robotics, etc.) in order to improve automation and efficiency.
    • Provide and receive timely, constructive feedback from peers, customers and leadership team.

    About the Team

    The Americas P&C Business Management Operations team is a culturally and geographically diverse team, responsible for the management of all Technical Accounting and Claim Operations for P&C Reinsurance. With our continuous improvement mindset, our desire is to provide our external clients and internal peers with fast, easy and effective ways of conducting business within an environment where the risks are understood.

    About You

    • Reinsurance/Insurance experience, preferably in Claims or Claims Operations
    • Ability to handle multiple activities, meet deadlines and prioritize work load.
    • Excellence in new workflow technologies such as ACORD, B3i, Robotics, etc.
    • SharePoint and Microsoft Suite preferred.
    • Effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
    • Able to work in a virtual/remote international/global/multicultural team environment.
    • Fluent in English.
    • College degree or related business experience preferred.
    • Ability to travel occasionally.
