We are looking for an Asset Manager for our New York City or Chicago offices.

The primary responsibilities and qualifications include:

Develop and manage financial models for the evaluation of investments in debt and equity across all real estate asset classes, reviewing potential transactions for the proper balance of feasibility and risk
Assist in commercial loan underwriting conducting initial and ongoing due diligence for loan transactions including evaluating appraisals, market studies, project capital need assessments, financial statements and credit reports for the project and its Principals, insurance policies and endorsements
Assist in the preparation of loan commitments to borrowers
Interface with clients, outside attorneys, and other investment stakeholders involved in a particular transaction to obtain required documentation
Maintain direct daily interface with borrowers, financing counterparties, investors, and firm stakeholders
Monitor, analyze, model, reunderwrite, and report the following: property (occupancy, operating, strategic, clinical performance, changes to the competitive landscape), loan (financial condition), borrower (KYC, regulatory / reputational standing) and portfolio postclosing obligations information
Review and interpret complex mortgage and working capital loan documents in order to enforce and forecast financial covenants, trigger events, and general loan compliance, identifying and escalating potential concerns
Supervise the review and processing of extensions, payoffs, amendments, advances, surveys, reserves, capex, and construction draw requests, and insurance proceeds
Assist in origination and underwriting through data analytics, participation in site visits, and borrower financial and operational risk due diligence
Facilitate the company's growth by identifying and developing process efficiency improvements, including the development and enhancement of the firm's custom designed technologies
Travel as required
Work in the office as required by office policy

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree
Advanced English
Strong Excel proficiency
Minimum 4 years of work experience
Finance, credit, legal,
real estate and/or business background
Extensive technology skills
Established organizational skills and ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects
Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with borrowers, financing counterparties, and other external parties
Advanced financial analytical proficiency along with the ability to "see the big picture"
Strong grasp of logic and data analytics.
