    About the Role

    We are seeking a visionary and empathetic Rare Diseases BU Head to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes in Mexico City, Mexico.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic plans to advance our rare disease portfolio and initiatives.
    • Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing rare disease programs for Sales and Marketing.
    • Analyze complex data sets to inform decision-making and strategy development.
    • Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and interactions with key opinion leaders in the rare disease field.
    • Foster relationships with private and public market players.
    • Drive awareness and education initiatives around rare diseases.
    • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships or acquisition opportunities in the rare disease space.
    • Mentor and develop team members to build a strong rare disease expertise within the organization.

    Requirements

    • Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field (MD, PharmD, PhD preferred).
    • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a focus on rare diseases.
    • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful rare disease strategies.
    • In-depth knowledge of rare diseases, orphan drug development, and global healthcare systems.
    • Strong understanding of rare disease policies and regulations.
    • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Exceptional analytical and data interpretation skills.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, with experience in stakeholder management.
    • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional team environments.
    • Familiarity with patient advocacy groups and healthcare providers in the rare disease space.
    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
    • Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
    • Based in Mexico City or available to relocate.
