    Responsible for directing and executing the operations strategy in the areas of manufacturing, SMT, molding and building maintenance. Manages personnel, equipment and facility resources to achieve maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives. Collaborate on important manufacturing projects. Actively supports the operations automation strategy. Maintains authority over budget and scheduling. Maintains a safe and productive work environment for employees.

    JOB DUTIES:

  • Ensures that the production plan for parts, subassemblies and finished product is met, based on forecast and customer demand.
  • Plans and develops the skills of its work team to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with the automation department to facilitate the implementation of automated machines and equipment.
  • Requires product changes to improve DFM and DFA
  • Plan and execute the capital budget and operating expenses.
  • Implements new manufacturing concepts or techniques to improve quality and/or capabilities or to lower costs.
  • Responsible for the quality of manufactured products.
  • Coordinates manufacturing engineering efforts by determining methods, systems, tools and, if necessary, recommend modifications to the design.
  • Requests the purchase of the equipment required for manufacturing improvements.
  • Supervises/coordinates product activities, monitors quality, meeting delivery goals.
  • Coordinates solutions to manufacturing problems with other departments of the company.
  • Provides accurate production reports.
  • Ensures proper communication system between shifts.
  • Coordinates the maintenance of the building and equipment.
  • Establishes and sustains a teamwork environment with the plant leadership team and all levels of the organization.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy in production areas.
  • YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing experience, in a management position.
  • Experience in finance, material control (MRP) and quality.
  • Good negotiator/communicator.
  • Experience implementing world-class manufacturing methodologies.
  • Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (read, write and speak)
