Description


This position is in charge of entries into the system of pending bills, preparing information to upload payments, analyzing account balances, providing excellent customer service to suppliers and complying with SOX guidelines to guarantee the accuracy of the information.


Accountabilities

  • Processes invoices through the system (example: SAP
  • Vendor Invoice Management module), validates compliance with SOX controls, and schedules payment on time.
  • Prints checks and uploads payments documents to bank portal, prepares information to upload by different payment methods when necessary.
  • Follows up with vendors and/or internal customers to provide all appropriate information, answer questions, and to execute payment when a payment is rejected or intervention is required.
  • Enters advance payments, and follows up with vendors and internal customers to ensure invoices are received and cleared and all necessary information has been provided.
  • Validates US vendor invoices in Validation client system.
  • Ensures images of invoices are clear and the system is functioning as intended and troubleshoots any issue as necessary.
  • Processes SAT cancellations from vendors.
  • Reviews supplier account statements.
  • Exemplifies KCS Vision, Values, and Culture interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers and stakeholders.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred
years of account management experience, preferably in railroad or transportation industry.


Working Conditions

  • Experience with internal control and Audit regulations.
  • Knowledge of tax requirements.
  • Fluid English (speaking and writing).
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong proficiency in Office System management.
  • This position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of Monday through Friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends.
  • This position may require mínimal travel up to 10% of the time.
