How You Will Make An Impact:

This position is key in providing on site support, serve as escalation point to leadership team, help implement sourcing strategies for the business units and support new product launch (NPI).

Source direct materials (examples:
electronics component; PCBAs, metal fabrications) with suppliers thatcan meet the service, quality and cost requirements.
Partner closely with manufacturing site buyers throughout the sourcing process

Coordinate with Design, R&D and component Engineering to identify new sources/suppliers of componentsfor existing and new products, ensuring early DFM feedback from suppliers,

Partner with cross functional teams to qualify new sources, working with CommScope manufacturinglocations and CM (Contract Manufacturers) to onboard new suppliers.

Work within NPI cross-functional project team playing a key part in the coordination and delivery of the NewProduct Development across the company.

Conduct cost/price analysis for all products under their jurisdiction with emphasis on high dollar and solesource procurements. Establish negotiation strategies.

Maintains positive working relationships with supplier base.

Ensures that the Supplier KPI's governingquality, delivery and NPI performance are considered before deciding to source material from a particularvendor.

Ensures that all sourcing is based on negotiated competitive bids as submitted by qualifi ed suppliers andin alignment with Should Cost targets (where available).

Required Qualifications For Consideration:

Bachelor's degree in related area.

5+ years of procurement or related experience.
Experience with 5+ major passive and active procurement categories/commodities.

Proficient in English language (written and spoken)

Experience in purchasing technical commodities with close interfacing with engineering.

You Will Excite Us If You Have:
Certification in the procurement area (like C.P.M. or CPIM)
ERP experience (SAP for example)
2+ years experience in the telecom/wireless industry
