Responsibilities:

Configuration and Customization:


  • Configure Jira workflows, screens, fields, and issue types to align with the organization's processes.
  • Customize Jira to meet the unique needs of different teams or projects.
  • Assist with migration issues and provide technical support for the migration process to ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently

User Management:


  • Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within Jira.
  • Ensure that each person has the appropriate user role and privileges assigned.

Integration and Automation:


  • Handle integrations with other tools to enhance Jira's functionality.
  • Develop custom workflows, apps/plugins, and integrations as needed.

System Maintenance:


  • Maintain overall system efficiency by monitoring performance, addressing bottlenecks, and optimizing configurations.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Jira functionality and performance.
  • Innovate and iterate on improvement processes and share the learnings.

Documentation and Training:


  • Document processes, best practices, and guidelines for Jira usage.
  • Provide training and support to users on Jira features and functionality.
  • Conduct Office Hours, Forums, Awareness and Working sessions.

Team Ceremonies:


  • Actively participate in all team agile meetings:
  • Backlog Refinement/Planning
  • Standups
  • Retrospectives

Qualifications:

-
Experience: Prior experience as a Jira Administrator or similar role.

Technical Skills:


  • Proficiency in configuring Jira workflows, permissions, and customizations.
  • Familiarity with Jira Cloud administration.
  • Knowledge of Jira apps, addons, and plugins.

Communication Skills: Ability to bridge technical and non-technical communication gaps. Must have excellent planning and communication skills, flexibility to accommodate working across different time zones and sensitivity to cultural and geographical differences.

Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:


  • Familiarity of other Atlassian products: Jira Service Management, Confluence, Compass, Jira Product Discovery, Assets.
  • Knowledge of: GitHub, Linux, Python, Shell/Bash, Rest API.
