ResponsibilitiesThis Senior Accountant plays a key role in the organization's tax compliance procedures and ensures compliance with the applicable law and requirements for our LATAM offices (Panama and Mexico).
Responsibilities Reviews tax returns and related reports to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax statues and regulations by working with external tax consultants to properly interpret tax laws and regulationsReviews accounting records ensuring tax transactions are recorded accurately in financial systems and maintains tax account reconciliationsManages Transfer Pricing process for multiple countriesSets up compliance procedures and ensures that appropriate internal controls are in place and documented for LATAM tax complianceAssists with research and implementation of tax processes and makes appropriate recommendations from a tax perspectiveCommunicates frequently with CFO and other members of the finance management teamMentors other personnel on priority projects in both the tax compliance and accounting areasManages tax disputes and resolutions, including audits***Please share resumes in the English format.
Qualifications10+ years of accounting experience5+ years of tax accounting experienceExperience working within a dynamic multi-country team in a professional services firmA strong passion for working with tax related itemsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional oral/written communication skills with ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
English (Intermediate – Advanced)Good working knowledge of LATAM tax rules and regulations with the ability to apply these rules to transactions in a professional services firmSoftware:
