Position Summary
Provides technical support to the production department to ensure production goals are met and productivity improvements are made.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and administrative support to process engineering, lean engineer and production department, including data collection, data entry and filing.
Assure safe environment and support process improvements related to safety, including environmental and ergonomics.
Provide cost reduction and productivity improvements through the support of continuous improvement (value stream) projects by helping to create physical solutions like racks, tables, fixtures and karakuri systems
Helps to develop ideas from the rest of the production associates through the usage of the Kaizen Promotion Office
Help facilitate weekly on the floor walks (GEMBA), the right usage of the HPT boards giving training and solving doubts
Assis to HPT teams in the creation of fixtures and racks to solve SP problems or improve current state of an standard process
Assist in driving kaizen improvement events & teams, scheduling organization, data entry and supply tracking of the kaizen promotion office
Trouble shoot and problem solve on the production floor on process through review of day by hour sheets.
Review, revise and draft standard operating procedures, including work instructions, process documents, batch cards.
Train operators, team leaders and other employees on basic lean principles & problem solving tools.
Implement and maintain KPO ideas from the production shop
Perform all other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or engineering degree in progress
1 year of manufacturing / technical experience, Lean experience is a plus.
Basic English
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and problem solving tools (e.g. fishbone, 5Why's)
Strong math skills, experience with Microsoft Office, Visio & CAD software a plus.
Ability to influence and work well with all functions of the organization
Past experience participating Kaizen events is a plus.
