Job Location(s): Apodaca, MX- Danfoss is looking for a Quality Engineer, for our Plant in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon._

  • For our new Sensor Factory, we are looking for a global Quality Engineer, located in Monterrey._
  • The scope of this new Quality Engineer role is to execute and drive quality tasks related to our new Sensor Factory and at the same time execute global SEN quality tasks. This position will be embedded in the global QEHS team of SEN._
  • As Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in preparing and ramping up our sensor manufacturing in a new building on the Danfoss Campus. The first project step is an expansion of our pressure sensor manufacturing with a new clean room and automized assembly line. Other sensor manufacturing is expected to follow._
  • In this role, you will act as an allrounder in the areas of supplier and factory quality and to some extent also in customer quality. You will be the initial local Quality representative for SEN in Monterrey._
  • The other main role is to contribute to the global QEHS team of SEN with tasks related to customer and supplier quality as well as to quality management system._

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Contribute to the qualification and runin of the new manufacturing equipment (acceptance tests, pilot production runs and alike)
  • Contribute to handling customer requests such as product qualification (APQP/PPAP), complaints, visits/audits, or any qualityrelated documentation
  • Contribute and drive the qualification of parts and materials at existing or new suppliers for the sensor manufacturing (APQP/PPAP)
  • Resolve production
- or supplier-related quality topics such as non-conformities and at the same time focus on detection and mitigation of risks

  • Run continuous improvement activities and participate in relevant projects
  • Assure the deployment of our QEHS System processes and tools, including but not limited to, conducting internal audits, and coaching the local team

Background & Skills:


  • Bachelor ́s degree in mechanical, electrical or electromechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 5+ years' experience in quality area. E_xperience in quality project management, demonstrating progressively increasing responsibility and autonomy_.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Quality topics incl. the ISO 900
  • Technical background and some years of experience in industrial manufacturing, ideally of electric, electronic, or mechatronic products
  • Experience in quality core tools (e.g., from IATF and 8D methodology
  • Preferably certified auditor according to ISO 9001 (and IATF 16949)
  • Ability to communicate factbased and appropriate to all internal and external management levels
  • Ability to work selfdriven in a crossfunctional, global team environment across time zones
  • Management skills such as change management, coaching, team facilitation, and analytical problemsolving
  • Strengths in persistence and structured work methods
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, preferably knowledge of SAP
  • Very good communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of and experience with market segments such as HVAC/R, Mobile Hydraulics, Marine or Industrial Engines would be a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with Environmental and/or Safety topics incl. ISO requirements would also be a plus
  • Able to drive and implement process improvements in alliance of management.
  • Preferably Project Management knowledge/training (i.e. Power Bi, SAP, etc.)
  • Exposure to Quality Assurance/ Process Management experience.
  • Experience working with Quality Standards methodologies and certification initiatives
