Senior Controls Engineer

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer with focus on Project Management Experience at Stanley Black & Decker.

This team will set the overall vision and strategy for the company's Industry 4.0 initiative and supply the resources and expertise necessary to serve as the epicenter for the latest technologies and processes with respect to Industry 4.0.

Stanley Black and Decker is looking for Senior Controls Engineer with focus on Project Management who can run multiple industry 4.0 large scale projects, and who can be responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

This individual will liaison with the other team of the Connected Factory Team, Plant leadership, Business leadership and other relevant stakeholders and vendors.


Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Lead the planning and implementation, and daily management of Industry 4.0 projects
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Develop full scale project plans
  • Manage project budget and resource allocation
  • Plan and schedule project timelines
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Present reports for project progress, risktracking and solutions
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential challenges, and devise contingency plans
  • Lead global crossfunctional team meetings and conduct timely followups to track project deliverables
  • Supporting the engineering execution team with nontechnical topics like new supplier set up, follow up with quotes, coordinate work with external partners
  • Set and continually manage project expectations and roles throughout project life cycle
  • Independent followthrough ability (attention to detail, monitoring and controlling)
  • Must have experience on largescale, enterprise wide/global projects

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in Managing Controls Engineering/Industry 4.0 Projects
  • Deep understanding of all relevant components of complex Controls Engineer/Industry 4.0 projects like PLC, Sensors, Data Collection, Industrial Data Protocols
  • Strong understanding of Project Management concepts and tools
  • Experience in working with remote teams, nationally and internationally
  • Ability to continuously learn and adapt to changing requirements
  • Understanding of OT related topics for Industry 4.0 projects, like Linux Edge Servers, Network Security, Firewalls

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with tools like Jira/Azure DevOps for Project Management
  • Project Management experience in IoT domain and sensitization is a plus
