- As the Subject Matter Expert and the key point of contact for data within the domain, work with various stakeholders to establish data management standards for the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) project, including:
- Analyze existing data documentation to identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) for EDP, define and document data definitions, data mapping, business rules, data classification, data quality (DQ) rules for CDEs
- Define data access requirements for EDP data
- Contribute to the establishment of historical data retention policy, compliance policy, and security policy of EDP
- Identify and oversee data quality issues within EDP, maintain issue repository, and manage resolution
- Support business users with data questions and facilitate discussion to help them understand EDP data
- Support Data Governance Steering Committee and data owners on data governance initiatives
- Continue working with stakeholders to implement Data Governance Roadmap actions, including building data glossary, defining CDEs, and DQ rules
- Spread data awareness across organizations, promote data literacy and data-driven decisions for maximizing data value
- Support continuous improvement and implementation of data governance processes, policies, compliance needs, MDM, data security
- Work closely with data owner to protect and authorize data usage
- Promote accepted data definitions and usage practices for data literacy campaigns
- Collaborate with business users and technical team to simplify data availability
- Implement data quality strategy, profile data assets, define DQ rules, and manage data quality issues
- Perform audits to ensure data governance compliance and identify improvement opportunities
- Support metadata repositories, business glossary, data lineage, and training materials
- Review enterprise data assets, define attributes, identify CDEs, classified domains, and establish KPIs
