Purpose Statement:

The HR Team Lead will be the primary manager for the HR Operations team and act as an HR Partner for specified site functional groups.

Responsible for a compliant and positive employee relations approach, strengthening our employee engagement and driving down retention will deliver a strong manufacturing site culture.

Growing and developing the HR team and providing guidance to site leaders will ultimately allow the HR Team Lead to accomplish these goals.


  • Key Job Accountabilities:
  • SITE HR OPERATIONS: Ensure an accountable, compliant and consistent employee relations function by administering policies and procedures in line with local and federal law.
Along with the HR Generalists and Specialists, manage the flow of daily employee relations activities with urgency and care.

  • HR PARTNER: Through alignment with assigned functional groups, deliver top to bottom HR business partnership by building strong relationships and establishing business acumen.
Provide the voice of the employee to leaders and management perspective to employees. Build leadership capability and help drive functional strategic objectives.

  • BEST PEOPLE COLLABORATION: Work collaboratively with HR operations, talent acquisition, development and training peers locally, regionally and globally on initiatives to continuously improve tools and processes.
Lead and/or participate in annual projects.

  • TALENT MANAGEMENT &

ENGAGEMENT STRATEGIES:

Responsible for establishing and delivering site talent management, retention and employee engagement strategies that ultimately improve culture and increase eNPS results.


  • TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Accountable to execute on Plexus' Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.
  • Additional Accountabilities:
  • EMPLOYEE RELATIONS CONSULTANT: Handle complex associate relations issues by balancing employee and business advocacy
  • BEST PEOPLE METRICS: Own the calculation, communication and improvement actions with specified Best People metrics.
  • CHANGE MANAGEMENT &

COMMUNICATION:
Create necessary communication plans and change management plans to effectively drive organizational change

  • ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN: Provide organizational design input and expertise to ensure appropriate organizational spans & layers to ensure optimal organizational productivity
  • TOTAL REWARDS: Provide guidance and expertise on compensation and rewards packages for management.
Provide input on employee benefits for associates

  • COMPLIANCE: Keeps up to date on trends and legal developments, implementing the necessary actions to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws relative to employment practices.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Education/Experience Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience is required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS is preferred, Workday and Cornerstone experience a plus
  • Lean or Continuous Improvement certifications and training is preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Other Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated effective management skills and employee development background
  • Strong ability to think strategically and proactively solve problems, including making timely and effective decisions in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Proven ability to influence others, including relationshipbuilding, conflict resolution and leadership competencies as defined by the company. Ability to lead without formal authority.
  • Ability to follow through on assignments with little to no supervision. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with and influence internal and external stakeholders. Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Plexus Corp. in a professional manner.
  • Work Environment:
  • The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
