    About the role

    Responsible to perform the Record to Report (RTR) activities focused on quality and timely core accounting activities. Deliver key Controllership objectives while supporting the Mission & Vision of Carrier Corporation Finance. Reports to the Senior Manager/Hub Lead, Center of Excellence-Record to Report. Location: Monterrey, Mexico RTR COE Hub.

    This role involves performing accounting activities to ensure they are in alignment with US GAAP and Corporate policies. This role will support the monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing and reporting process. This role will perform assigned transactions and provide support for general accounting processes such as inter-company, fixed assets, and prepaid accounting, financial reporting, and balance sheet management, among other accounting tasks/processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, analyzes and records designated accounting transactions in accordance with accounting policies and procedures and control processes to ensure work is accurate and is per defined standards
  • Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations based on financial data.
  • Prepares basic financial analysis in order to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial results, monthly/quarterly/annual closing and compliance activities
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external business partners, Controllership, and RTR COE
  • Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting/Finance (RTR).
  • A minimum of 5+ years prior relevant experience
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in an Accounting discipline or MBA
  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent, or the ability and eligibility to obtain certification
  • Prior experience working in a large multinational environment
  • SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar ERP experience a plus
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Detailed oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet corporate deadlines
